Philosophy & Financing

TAD Homes Philosophy

Reuse and Repurpose.

Kudos to those folks with deep pockets (that grow ever deeper), who have raised a more speedy awareness for the "tiny home movement," but we at TAD Homes are not in this business solely to make a buck.

We strive to use reclaimed materials as much as we can in our homes. This philosophy is easier on your wallet and easier on the environment.  We can work with your special material requirements, and we won't sacrifice the integrity of the structure for cheap materials.  We use new, high quality trailers for a secure foundation.

Choose to build with TAD Homes and you're choosing to keep "the movement":

Tiny. Affordable. Doable.

Owner Financing

The struggle is real.

We're learning that most people who want or need to live tiny are starting out like we did...broke as a joke.  So how do you scrape up $40,000 - $70,000?

Some people are able to downsize. Sell everything and save it all for your tiny house.  If you can't raise all the money that way, you might ask family and friends for help.

You can try Lightstream or Tiny House Lending, both are groups that specialize in Tiny Homes. Then there is the personal bank loan or something like a Discover Personal Loan.  If those options don't pan out, then maybe we can help.

TAD Homes can offer Owner Financing  for qualifying buyers. Our 'typical plan' for owner finance is 30% down and monthly payments for 2-3 years.  We try to match the industry when it comes to interest (maybe 10%...?).  Look here to see Whats a Good Interest Rate? If you pay off your loan sooner than our 'typical plan' then we may not even charge you interest.  It all depends on your financial history and communication with us at TAD Homes.  If you can't meet the 'typical plan' requirements then contact us about your situation. Let's see what we can do.

Location, Location, Location!

A place to lay your head.

Finding a spot to park your tiny home can be one of the biggest hurdles.  We offer modest assistance given that rules for parking your tiny home vary from place to place, but a great new resource is coming soon:
